Discover the project
That dented shovel, that bent rake, that leaky watering can… Instead of letting them gather dust, discover how they can be transformed into true works of art. From March 7 through mid-June, Ecomaison is launching the second edition of Recycl’expo. This year, the event is taking place in nearly 100 cities across France.
How to find us

Find out more about the operation
For three months, Recycl'expo will be setting up shop across France. The goal? To show that recycling means giving a second life to something we thought was finished.
And that recycling is also an act of creation!
Ruben Gérard
Ruben Gérard is a painter and illustrator renowned for his graphic universe. Fascinated by second-hand objects, he hijacks and reinvents them to give them a new life, somewhere between art and recycling.
An opportunity to drop off your old tools
More than just an exhibition, Ecomaison promotes sustainable development and gives a second life to your tools. The collection points remain open all year round to receive your used tools. Some will be repaired and put back into circulation, while others will be recycled to make new products. This circular economy starts with a simple gesture: drop off your tools at an Ecomaison collection point.

Trade-in: how does it work?
DIY, garden, furniture and construction stores are obliged to take back your used items and products, subject to certain conditions. Ask your local store for more information: it's a simple gesture that makes it easier to recycle your everyday items.
What happens to garden items taken back by Ecomaison?
The wood from your old furniture is recycled to produce new panels or objects.
The plastics collected are shredded and transformed into new gardening or landscaping parts.
Used plastic is recycled to create durable objects: street furniture, outdoor equipment...
The plastic and mineral residues from the pots are recycled and integrated into new products.
Getting to know Ecomaison better

Ecomaison reuses and recycles household objects and materials
Ecomaison is an eco-organization, i.e. a not-for-profit public-interest company, approved by the French government to take charge of the end-of-life management of household objects and materials: furniture, bedding, building materials, DIY and garden items, games and toys.
Our role? Reduce the environmental impact of these objects and materials by organizing their collection, sorting, repair, reuse and recycling.
Our goal? To achieve zero waste.
