In light of the challenges posed by the energy transition, resource sovereignty, and the decarbonization of industry, innovation and stakeholder engagement are more essential than ever. With this in mind, Ecomaison is launching a three-part initiative: a call for bids (AO), a call for innovation partnerships (PI), and a call for expressions of interest (AMI) dedicated to the preparation and material or energy recovery of the 360,000 metric tons of recoverable waste that the eco-organization collects annually.
Applications are open until September 21, 2026, with contracts set to begin no earlier than January 1, 2027.
This initiative aims to foster the development of effective solutions, identify new partners, and accelerate the growth of a French industry capable of transforming recoverable waste into a high-quality resource that supports the circular economy.
A Request for Proposals for Mature Energy Recovery Solutions
Through its waste management partners, Ecomaison supplies nearly 360,000 metric tons of Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) per year to various French and European cement plants and SRF power plants. To strengthen its partner network, Ecomaison is issuing a call for bids for the preparation and/or supply of RDF produced from recoverable waste; exclusively reserved for manufacturers offering a solution for the preparation and supply, or the supply alone, of RDF to energy recovery facilities that are already operational or under construction and are scheduled to begin commercial operation within a maximum of 18 months.
The contracts will have terms ranging from 2 to 6 years, and Ecomaison guarantees—through minimum volume commitments—a stable and consistent supply throughout the entire term.

A Call for Innovation Partnerships to Accelerate Industrial Solutions for Recycling and Material Recovery
At the same time, to foster the development of alternative solutions focused on recycling and material recovery for this waste, Ecomaison offers an innovation partnership to project leaders who have solutions for recycling and material recovery of waste
At the application stage, these projects must be innovation projects in the final phase of technological development (minimum TRL of 7) that require financial support from Ecomaison to complete the final steps toward full industrialization (TRL 9).

The proposed projects must demonstrate a high level of technological maturity and focus on pre-treatment solutions that promote recycling or material recovery, particularly through improved material extraction, with the goal of reducing the volume of waste sent to incineration.

A Call for Expressions of Interest to Identify New Capacities for Energy Recovery from CSR
Ecomaison is issuing this call for proposals to identify “turnkey” projects in the region that may be:
- units to be built entirely from the ground up
- the acquisition of existing units or the modernization of existing units to bring them into compliance with CSR standards
“The situation is simple and straightforward. The French RDF sector is facing a shortfall in consumption capacity relative to RDF production capacity. Our strategy is therefore to develop new RDF energy recovery capacity in France to bridge this gap. This call for expressions of interest will enable project developers to create CSR combustion units with a maximum capacity of 20 MWth each, fueled by the volumes of CSR produced from Ecomaison recoverable waste.”
