Ecomaison opens its membership to marketers with a comprehensive offer for all building products and materials. Following the publication of the approval decree in the Journal Officiel, Ecomaison is rolling out its service offering to help companies comply with their recycling obligations, applicable from January 1, 2023.

With the Anti-Waste for a Circular Economy Act (AGEC), the French government has made it compulsory for professionals who market building materials and products to take responsibility for their waste from January 1, 2023 onwards.

Helping professionals achieve compliance

Manufacturers, distributors, importers, marketplaces... all those who place construction products and materials on the market need to get ready to apply the recycling regulations. By January 1, 2023, they must have signed up to the scheme, signed their service contracts and implemented ecoparticipation on the products and materials concerned. Through its cross-cooperation agreement with Ecominéro (approved for category 1), Ecomaison offers regulatory compliance for the entire building sector, covering both inert and non-inert products and materials. In this way, Ecomaison offers manufacturers and distributors the opportunity to join both categories.

Facilitating company declarations

Building products and materials are divided into different price categories. Ecomaison offers two declaration methods, by weight or by functional unit, for certain product families:

  • A price list in €/kg or €/m3 for different materials and product categories;
  • A price list by m² or ml, depending on the product, or by unit.

Members benefit from tools that make it simple and straightforward to prepare ecoparticipation invoices for their customers, such as :

  • A generator of tariffs and product codes to find the amount of their eco-participation and simplify their procedures;
  • A configurator for automatically assigning the right prices to thousands of
    product references in a single operation.

Financing collection and recycling points

All marketers must pay an eco-participation fee to the eco-organization to which they belong, according to the scale published by the eco-organization. The sums paid finance reuse, containers and collection, transport, recycling and waste recovery, as well as research and development and eco-design incentives.

Declarations are made quarterly, on the basis of the quantities placed on the market, and give rise to invoicing for the previous quarter, without advance payment.

Offering a multi-sector, multi-material solution

Ecomaison is the only eco-organization to cover all products and materials used in the home, from foundations to finishes, including furniture, DIY and garden items. Ecomaison offers a single solution for all these product categories, which are subject to different recycling channels and are marketed by all types of distributors - generalists and specialists - DIY stores, materials retailers and marketplaces.

"By offering a one-stop shop, Ecomaison provides an integrated and simplified regulatory and operational solution for all professionals. "Dominique Mignon, President of Ecomaison
