Positioned in four sectors, Ecomaison has made the most of its experience in furniture, building products and building materials, DIY and garden products, and games and toys.

REP Building: Ecominéro and Ecomaison join forces to promote reuse and launch a joint call for projects
Since the introduction of the PMCB EPR (extended producer responsibility for building products and materials), Ecominéro, the eco-organization created by and for the mineral sector, in charge of setting up the recycling channel for inert building waste (category 1)* and Ecomaison, an eco-organization for non-inert building waste (category 2)*, both approved by the French government, offer manufacturers and distributors of building materials a comprehensive package to meet their obligations as marketers. Today, the two eco-organizations are going one step further and launching a joint call for projects to support actions to reuse and give a second life to PMCB on building sites.

Collection and recycling performance: Ecomaison deploys material sorting at public drop-off centers
Ecomaison - the eco-organization approved by the public authorities for the collection, sorting, reuse and recycling of household objects and materials - is encouraging local authorities to install sorting bins for materials common to various Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) channels at public waste collection centers. The aim is to massify collection and improve recycling.

Ecomaison and izidore join forces to facilitate furniture take-back and re-use
Ecomaison, a government-approved eco-organization for the collection, sorting, reuse and recycling of household materials and objects, and izidore, a platform specializing in second-hand, branded furniture, have strengthened their partnership to facilitate take-back by distributors and thus encourage reuse in the furnishings sector. By labelling izidore, Ecomaison is reinforcing its support for members in the take-back and reuse of furnishings.

Ecomaison changes its prices for building materials and offers recyclability bonuses as of May 1, 2024
To support the deployment of collection points for building waste, Ecomaison is changing its eco-tax rates with the introduction of eco-modulation measures. The new scale offers premiums based on the recyclability of materials, sustainable resource management and the incorporation of recycled materials by manufacturers.
