Faded cuddly toys, incomplete puzzles, scratched little cars... What if your old toys became another child's Christmas present? Ecomaison is launching the "Grande Collecte Solidaire des Jouets" throughout November to transform these forgotten childhood companions into new stories.
A month to clear out the cupboards
They've accompanied your children, shared laughter, and sometimes a few tears. Now they're ready for a new adventure. The Great Collective of Toys is a major event organized by Ecomaison to get French people thinking about sorting and donating their unused toys.
This national operation brings together all existing initiatives, such as " Let your heart speak ", launched 15 years ago by Ecosystem, which is joining this year's national toy drive. The aim is to ensure that no toy ends up in the garbage can when it could have a second life.
All toys find their way
In good condition, incomplete or damaged? Every toy you drop off finds its destination:
- In good condition: redistribution by associations or resale at solidarity prices.
- Damaged or incomplete: refurbishment by associations. This is a game-changing approach. There's no need to wonder if it's "good enough" to be donated. Just drop it off, and the rest follows.

The toy that creates jobs
Behind each collection point are social economy structures that support people who are far from employment in their professional integration process. How does it work? Your toys are sorted, cleaned and reconditioned by these employees. A simple gesture for you becomes an opportunity for them. Your donation supports the local social economy and creates links in your area.

Three impacts for a single gesture
Donating your toys means acting on three levels simultaneously:
- Making Christmas accessible to families who can't afford new toys.
- Prevent tons of toys from ending up in the garbage can.
- Create back-to-work jobs in your region.
Children often accumulate dozens of toys... but only use a small proportion of them. By donating the toys that lie dormant in their cupboards, you can give them a new lease of life and support the circular economy.

Where and how to donate?
2,500 collection points await you throughout November, thanks to our partners: retailers (Auchan, Carrefour, E.Leclerc and E.Leclerc Jouets, Jardiland, Joué Club, King Jouet, La Grande Récré), post offices, associations or local authorities... There's bound to be one near you.
You drop it off. Partner associations empty the bins and direct each toy to its best second life.

Make giving a reflex
The " Grande Collecte Solidaire des Jouets " creates a strong national momentum in November. But the gesture can become a habit all year round: collection points are permanently available in toy stores, local associations and recycling centers, which also accept direct donations. This month of mobilization is a great opportunity to learn the right sorting gesture and give value back to forgotten toys. For the children who receive them. For the planet. For those who find new jobs.
Your unused toys can transform lives.
