Have you decided to go camping for the vacations? As you prepare to leave, or at the end of the season, you may find yourself with items you don't know what to do with. Here's some advice and information on sorting your camping gear, to help you reduce its environmental impact.
Donating is the first option
If your equipment is still in good condition but you've decided to treat yourself to a new floor mat or folding chairs, you can donate the old ones.
You can entrust them to an association or a recycling center, which will resell them on the market at solidarity prices, so that new adventurers can benefit from them.
Ecomaison makes summer sorting easy
No longer using your parasol? You can drop it off at an Ecomaison collection point. Whether at home or at your vacation destination, there's always one within 15 kilometers.
If your objects are still in good condition or repairable, Ecomaison will take care of re-using them by entrusting them to a partner in the Social and Solidarity Economy. And if they're too worn to be reused, no problem - they'll be recycled.
Ecomaison collection points welcome a wide range of camping items:
- camping suitcase ;
- plancha and gas barbecue ;
- sleeping bag ;
- hammock ;
- inflatable mattresses ;
- DIY tarpaulins used to stop soil moisture;
- mosquito nets ...
