Paris, June 4, 2025 - Yesterday, 22 approved eco-organizations took a new step
by joining forces to form the "Collectif des ÉcoOrganismes", an association under the French law of 1901. Through this egalitarian grouping, the eco-organizations are asserting their desire to speak with one voice on their model, which today calls for greater legibility, clarity of objectives and collaboration.
The Collectif's mission is twofold: to bring together experience and skills, to promote them and be a force for proposals on changes to the framework for eco-organization intervention, and to make a collective position heard by public authorities and stakeholders.
Driven by a strong desire to listen to the expectations and proposals of stakeholders, the eco-organizations, through the creation of the Collectif, reaffirm their responsibility on behalf of member producers and distributors within the framework of their regulatory obligations, as well as their vision of an EPR model that values the action of marketers and recognizes their contribution to the responsible use of resources.
By pooling their efforts, they also intend to reinforce their commitment to ensuring that France, a pioneer in the creation and implementation of EPR channels, acquires the industrial tools needed to develop high-performance reuse and recycling channels that create jobs and generate sustainable local economic spin-offs.
