With the arrival of summer, synonymous with vacations, leisure activities and games, Ecomaison announces its partnership with Unique Héritage Média, the children's press publisher.
Every year, 100,000 tonnes of toys are thrown away in France1. Yet donating, reusing or, failing that, recycling them can give them a new lease of life.
Ecomaison, the state-approved eco-organization for the Toys & Games sector, aims to raise public awareness of eco-responsible practices from the earliest age.
To this end, a partnership has been sealed with Groupe Unique Héritage Média, to communicate within its youth magazines and famous Beach Clubs in partnership with Le Journal de Mickey.
From July 6 to August 30, some 15 clubs in 5 departments along the Atlantic coast2 will be organizing a short-lived toy collection program. Cuddly toys, dolls, board games, puzzles, figurines, small cars... Residents and holidaymakers will be able to drop off their used, unused or incomplete toys, except for electrical and electronic items, at the Ecomaison kiosks set up for the occasion. Activities and workshops will also be organized by local partner associations.
The proceeds from the collection will benefit 5 local players in the Social and Solidarity Economy: Aciades Caen, La Malle à Rejouer, Emmaüs Saintes, Emmaüs Bayonne and Recyc'La Vie. Once refurbished, the toys can be offered to the less fortunate or resold at fair prices.
