Innovation For Eco-design: A program to accelerate sustainable innovation

Launched by Ecomaison in 2020, the Innovation for Eco-design program aims to connect French industrial companies in the furniture, toys, DIY and construction sectors with innovators from all over the world.

Objective: identify and test eco-design solutions to improve the environmental impact of products throughout their life cycle.

Pilot projects launched since the start of the program

Why respond to the call for innovators?

  • Promote your solution to Ecomaison's 12,000 member companies through visibility in the Ecomaison Innovators Catalogue.
  • Present your innovation atInnovation Day to over 100 companies committed to the environmental transition.

For the past five years, Ecomaison's innovation and R&D teams have been observing, identifying, analyzing and qualifying emerging solutions, in order to create a unique catalog of material innovations for the exclusive use of its members.
The result? A catalog of over 100 solutions, referencing concrete alternatives to conventional materials, combining performance, industrial feasibility and low environmental impact.

What innovations are we looking for?

This call for projects is aimed at developers of eco-design solutions, such as :

  • Recycled or bio-sourced materials
  • Repair, reuse and recycling technologies
  • Solutions that facilitate the dismantling, traceability and second life of products
  • Industrial processes with low environmental impact

To be eligible, your innovation must :

  • Demonstrate environmental benefits over all or part of the product's life cycle: reduced carbon footprint, resource savings, less dependence on fossil fuels, etc.
  • Do not degrade the product's end-of-life (e.g., recyclability, absence of sorting or recycling disruptors)
  • Be at least TRL 4 maturity level (proof of concept in the laboratory), so that it can be activated by manufacturers

Don't miss this opportunity to showcase your innovation to Ecomaison members!
