As a player in the social economy, Ecomaison has just published a Toy Reuse Guide to support you in your mission. The aim of this unique guide is to provide you with tips and best practices for increasing the quality and number of toys reused, without risk to children. From checking toys for completeness to identifying the different categories of toys, we've combed through the main problems you may encounter.

Why create such a guide?

Purchases of second-hand toys have been on the rise in recent years: 7.6M more second-hand toys and games were sold in 2023 vs. 2021 (+35%) (Source: Circana survey, March 2024). But the safety and hygiene of second-hand toys are still a barrier to purchase. This guide gives you the keys to overcoming them and democratizing reuse among consumers.

Who is it for?

Whether you're a start-up or a restructuring structure, a specialized or generalist association with a dedicated toy department, an organization made up of volunteers or employees on integration schemes, this guide is made for you! It will be just as useful for the facility manager, the technical supervisor or any other person in charge of sorting and reusing toys.

Content based on exchanges and experience in the field

This guide, created in collaboration with Jeu Change, is the result of various exchanges between Ecomaison and several of its partners in the Social and Solidarity Economy, in order to best meet your needs. It includes testimonials of good practices already tried and tested by other organizations, as well as tips for informing and reassuring your customers about second-hand toys.
