This is a new feature, provided for in the specifications, under the name of "rebate": the possibility for the company to have a rebate at the end of the year on its contribution for products that it resells itself or that it reconditions and resells.
Clearly, distributors or manufacturers who resell reconditioned products in dedicated corners or on digital platforms, without going through Ecomaison's partner associations, will be able to declare these products. At the end of the year, they will benefit from rebates on their contributions, theeco-participation paid for products placed on the market.
Adapting to the second-hand market
Ecomaison accompanies a trend that is gaining ground among most manufacturers and distributors: second-life spaces at Ikea, But, Conforama, second-hand marketplaces at La Redoute, Ligne Roset (re) which resells the brand's reconditioned furniture, But which also recovers objects for donation to children's villages...
It's a way of listing all the efforts made by companies in this field. It will be added to the Ecomaison reuse results. This will enable us to meet the targets set by the AGEC law.

Supporting companies in their commitment
The rebate will also benefit member companies who recycle on their own, without going through the Ecomaison operational circuit. This is the case, for example, with certain furniture manufacturers, such as Gautier, and wood and building manufacturers.
In concrete terms, the reduction for re-use will result in a 100% discount on the eco-participation fee for the products concerned. The recycling rebate will represent an 80% discount.
It's a way of involving companies a little more than before in what they develop on their own, with their exclusive partners, not necessarily in the Ecomaison operational scheme.
Dominique Mignon, President of Ecomaison
The rebate can be included in Ecomaison's balance sheet, since the AGEC law now allows this.
