Ecomaison is launching a Call for Expressions of Interest (AMI) to encourage and support the collection, sorting and reuse of furnishings in local areas. Do you have a project to develop? To apply, Ecomaison explains everything!

This AMI is part of the Fonds Réemploi that we have set up. Its aim? To identify and encourage the emergence, from 2024 onwards and throughout France, of initiatives designed to increase the volume of reused furniture, with a focus on local areas and the mobilization of local ecosystems.

A first AMI 2024, several application deadlines

This first edition of the AMI has an annual budget of 3.6 million euros. It is structured around 6 axes. Candidate projects must fall within one of these areas:

1. Increase reuse by developing outlets (sales or donations);
2. Improve the supply of qualitative resources to SSE reuse players;
3. Increase reuse activities through new material resources or new capacities;
4. Develop the skills and professionalization of solidarity-based reuse players;
5. Contribute to the increase in volumes reused through innovation;
6. Develop repair services.

Launched at the beginning of February, the AMI provides for 3 selection sessions, with the first in May, the second in September and the last in November.

Who is this AMI for?

Any player in the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) with a project, alone or in a group, can apply for this AMI. Examples include :

  • A project leader in partnership with a co-sponsoring local authority ;
  • A project leader in partnership with a private co-sponsor.

All territories in metropolitan France and the French overseas departments and territories subject to national EPR regulations are eligible. We will ensure that the projects selected are distributed as evenly as possible across the country. In the case of similar projects presented by different promoters, we may propose that the promoters of these projects pool the work to be carried out.

I have a project, how do I apply?

All applicants must register by completing the online application form on our platform. It contains all the documents required to support applications: regulations, financial appendix, recommendations, FAQ, etc.

Applications open on February 9 and close on April 30 at midnight, for the first session. Dates for subsequent sessions will be published on the Ecomaison platform.

The application file must include at least:

  • The form completed online at espace-innovation.ecomaison.com;
  • The project presentation file;
  • Acompleted financial appendix in the downloadable format provided on the platform.

Would you like to submit an application and have questions? You can do so up to 10 days before the deadline, on espace-innovation.ecomaison.com, under the heading "Discussion wall". In the interests of fairness, answers to questions likely to be of interest to all applicants will be posted on the electronic platform.

How will the winning entries be selected?

All projects will be analyzed on the basis of proposals submitted on our online platform.
Admissible projects will be examined and presented to a Committee of Parties made up, as far as possible, of personalities qualified in the field of reuse, representatives of the furniture industry, the French Regions or other levels of local government, and representatives of ADEME.
This Committee of Parties will act as a jury for the final selection of winning projects and the determination of the associated prize money.

How can winning projects be supported?

Winning projects will be eligible for financial support ranging from €20 to €300K over two years, depending on their expected impact and territorial reach.

The sizing of support will take into account a correlation between the amount requested and the maximum rate of support per Ecomaison.

Important point: this support is intended to supplement the financing of submitted projects, and cannot contribute to covering expenses already covered by other support schemes and/or subsidies already obtained by the project owner.

We look forward to seeing you in May to discover the first batch of winning projects.
