Organizing collection at waste collection centers

Local authorities are key partners in meeting national targets for resource recovery. Ecomaison works on a daily basis with more than 640 of them. The collection and recovery solutions we offer are thus available to 98% of the inhabitants of mainland France. 80% of the volume of materials we recycle comes from them. These results are the fruit of a long-standing commitment. Since its creation in 2011, Ecomaison has been offering tailor-made services to support local authorities. And in particular, the organization of waste collection at waste collection centers.

Financial and operational support

Depending on the organization already in place, we can offer both financial and logistical support.

• Financial support : It is systematic as soon as a contract is established. Ecomaison pays the funds corresponding to the tonnages recovered from the local authority. To do this, the community must make two declarations per year. 
• Operational support : In addition to financial support, Ecomaison offers to take charge of collection, by providing suitable skips for distribution at waste collection centers. Implementation of this support is gradual and adapted to what is already in place in the community. It is up to the community to decide on the deployment schedule and the containers to be installed.

A single contact for several waste streams

Initially reserved for Waste Furniture Items(WFI), our services have now been extended to DIY and garden items and toys. Soon, they will also cover construction products and materials. Choosing Ecomaison to organize collection in a given area means you can reduce the number of people you need to contact.

Guaranteed financial support

Our actions have enabled us to drastically increase the proportion of waste reused, recycled or recovered from energy sources:

more than 50% of waste was landfilled or incinerated in 2010, to less than 3% in 2023! Local authority waste has thus become a positive resource. This development brings financial benefits: local authorities recover money from resources they previously had to dispose of.

 Today, it's simple: everything is done to ensure that local authorities have a clear interest in entrusting us with the management of their waste! It's financially advantageous, it facilitates their organization, and we provide them with high-quality support. We make sure that 100% of the communities we work with receive the financial support to which they are entitled.

Tailor-made collection solutions

As part of an operational takeover, we supply all or part of the skips, depending on what is already in place. For each local authority, we adapt the installation of the containers to the space available at the depots. When the skips are full, you can request their removal in just a few clicks on our extranet dedicated to local authorities.

• Two skips for two different flows 

This configuration makes it possible to reserve one skip for wood waste (furniture, DIY items and mixed toys). A second dumpster is then set aside for all waste furnishings (WEEE) and decorative textiles (carpets, blinds). The dumpster also receives all other DIY and garden items and toys, if the contract includes DIY/garden/toys.

Comforters, ears, textile decorations (curtains, drapes) and stuffed animals are all collected in dumpster bags.

• Collection with a single skip

If space does not permit the installation of two skips, a configuration with a single skip is still possible. The only condition is that comforters, pillows, textile decorations (curtains) and stuffed animals must be placed in suitable bags before being placed in the dumpster.

In this case, the single skip is used to dispose of all waste furnishings (WEEE) and decorative textiles (carpets, blinds). DIY and garden items and toys are also placed in this bin, if the contract includes these products.

For the smallest items in these product families, Ecomaison offers an adapted, reduced-size container.
