The digital platform izidore, a specialist in the sale of second-hand furniture and a partner of Ecomaison, has ended its activities in October 2024. Despite this bad news, Ecomaison reaffirms its commitment to reuse and continues to support professionals and players in the Social and Solidarity Economy in this objective.

Izidore, an innovative concept for extending the life of furniture

Founded in 2018, izidore has distinguished itself as an innovative online platform, connecting furniture sellers with bargain-seeking buyers and thus promoting a second life for sofas, armchairs and tables thanks to exchanges between private individuals. izidore has thus enabled the development of a new service in the second-hand furniture market.

A partnership with Ecomaison to promote re-use

Ecomaison was a partner of izidore, labelling the platform to encourage furniture re-use. This partnership, through the izidore PRO offer, facilitated the take-back of used furniture, which is a regulatory obligation for distributors. In this way, izidore offered a win-win service: organizing take-back for professionals with a complementary service for their customers, and contributing to furniture re-use via a second-hand offer.
