To support the deployment of collection points for building waste, Ecomaison is changing its eco-tax rates, modulated according to the recyclability of materials and the sustainable management of resources. A bonus mechanism for the incorporation of recycled materials completes these new rates, applicable from May1, 2024.

To support the growing importance of the building products and building materials (PMCB) recycling sector, Ecomaison is changing its eco-tax rates, applicable from May1, 2024. They are defined according to two principles:

  • Each family of materials finances its own collection and recycling costs,
  • Each material makes a financial contribution to achieving the collective waste collection and recycling target.

This new fee structure will enable Ecomaison to accelerate the deployment of collection points available free of charge. With a target of 2,500 equipped collection points (1,500 public drop-off centers, 800 distributors / retailers, 150 professional drop-off centers) by the end of 2024, Ecomaison plans to provide a local response to both professionals and private individuals. In addition, Ecomaison offers waste managers the opportunity to take back sorted building site waste, and will also carry out "preserving" collection actions aimed at re-use.

Eco-modulation of tariffs and premiums for the incorporation of recycled materials

Ecomaison offers prices based on three levels of material recyclability:

  • fully or predominantly recyclable and non-recyclable,
  • for bio-sourced materials,
  • for sustainable resource management.

Drawing on its experience in the Waste Furnishing Components (WFC) sector, Ecomaison applies these eco-modulations to all building materials and products.

Member companies can also benefit from premiums when they incorporate recycled materials into their new products. These premiums for the incorporation of recycled materials (I.M.R.) concern wood, metal, plastic and flexible or rigid polyurethane foam (PU).

Finally, new for marketers, Ecomaison will apply a reduction to the amount of eco-participation to be paid, when they themselves organize the re-use or recovery of waste from products identical to those they market.
