Become a certified repairer with Ecomaison

As an artisan and repair technician, you can obtain the Ecomaison label to join our network of repair technicians. This scheme is part of the French Anti-Waste for a Circular Economy Act (AGEC). Becoming an Ecomaison-labeled repairer enables you to pass on the repair bonus to your customers. It's an additional opportunity to boost your business.

What does Ecomaison do to promote repair?

To support repair, Ecomaison acts on three levels:

  • We deploy a network of quality-labeled repairers;
  • We provide financial support to private individuals in the form of a "repair bonus" paid to the professional when the repair is carried out;
  • We communicate with individuals.

What's in it for certified repairers?

By becoming a certified repairer in the Ecomaison network, you make yourself widely known to private customers in your area, who are encouraged to use your services. Stores that don't have a dedicated repair service can also call on you for repairs.

Once the repair has been confirmed by the customer, Ecomaison pays you the amount corresponding to the "Repair Bonus" you have declared.

Which objects are concerned?

Ecomaison is proposing a gradual nationwide roll-out, starting with seating and bedding items. Other types of furniture, tools and toys are also covered, such as barbecues, parasols, garden cutting tools and children's bikes and scooters.

What repairs are covered by the "Repair Bonus"?

The law makes a clear distinction between restoration and repair.

Repairing an object means allowing it to be used again as it could have been at the time of purchase, and returning it to its owner.

This does not include restoration for purely aesthetic purposes. In concrete terms, the bonus will apply to a torn upholstery, revealing the upholstery of an armchair, or a damaged convertible sofa bar, but not to faded colors or a scratched armrest.

When you are asked to carry out a complete restoration, which would include both aesthetic and repair work, it is therefore advisable to include the repair work separately on the invoice.

Please also note: the "Repair Bonus" only applies to claims not covered by legal, commercial or insurance warranties.

How do I become a certified repairer?

If you are concerned and would like to be identified as a certified repairer, please contact our customer service department.

We'll send you a short form to join the network of approved repairers. You will then need to provide proof of :

  • Your administrative compliance ;
  • Your ability to intervene in repairs (territory and methods) ;
  • Your business skills (via proof of activity).

Training for better repairs

To develop the repair sector, Ecomaison supports the training of new repair technicians. Once trained and certified, these repairers will be able to join the Ecomaison network.
